What's your favorite low-budget movie?

I like low budget movies because they kind of really force the filmmaker to be creative and make best use of the limited resources they have. It's easy to do great movies when you got a budget of 100 million dollars and big name actors getting paid a lot of money. Stars and special effects bring people to the theater. But not so with low budget movies. And when they make it big and become a blockbuster, it's just that much more impressive.

I think gone are the days people could make a movie for a couple of thousand dollars (though it's possible in certain countries). Even if the movie is made for that amount, the post production costs, marketing, and other costs, you are looking at hundreds of thousands dollars. So I think an overall budget of a few million is sort of the lowest you can go, practically speaking.

So, do any low-budget movie you consider great?
