Trying to make a list of movies that are fully original from the writer/director with no influence from the real world or other media. Exceptions being a director’s OWN short stories turned movies like Smile, Whiplash, Lights Out, etc. Movies similar to real world events such as Top Gun would also count just not something like 1917 which is said to be based around real life stories. The plot doesn’t have to be the most original (think Smile again) just the story at hand. Something like Babylon would not count as it is somewhat based off of a book even if only influenced by it.
