Twister is sneakily a really well written road drama with phenomenal cinematography and sound design. I find I like it more with every viewing to the extent it's become one of my favorite films. What's a favorite movie you catch shit for loving?

Obviously I picked Twister. It's a great movie, with my only complaint being that they kinda wrote themselves into a corner for no reason with how they survived the "F5" at the end. Otherwise it's one of the most believable "disaster" situations with the most likeable characters I can think of.

The fun/gloomy tone it achieves with a combination of the score, settings, and character banter is inimitable, and I know this for a fact after seeing this year's extraordinarily crappy "Supercell", which tries so hard to be some kind of shitty direct to streaming Twister-like that it literally steals some of Twister's sound design to achieve this goal and still fails horribly to be interesting for any entire scene.

Twister is awesome and should be talked about more. Paxton and Hunt play off each other perfectly in it, not to mention the rest of the cast is stacked with lots of recognizable character actors who all brought their 'A' game. Or in Phillip Seymour Hoffman's case, his "A" game, and no underwear.
