I’ve been revisiting movies from my childhood lately and was pleasantly surprised how entertaining this movie still is. Aside from the dated effects (which can be forgiven and honestly aren’t nearly as bad as I thought they’d be) this movie has it all. Great performances, great soundtrack, it’s dramatic, thrilling, sometimes horrific. Like holy shit this kid gets sucked into a board game and has to live in the jungle for 26 years. Giant fucking mosquitos. Goddamn this movie is still awesome. Also love David Alan Grier, Jonathon Hyde and Bonnie Hunt’s performances. Go rewatch it.
