What movie side character was more enjoyable to see on screen than the main character?

Side characters, especially ones that are always sticking with the main character can make or break the enjoyment of watching movie, and I feel like sometimes these side characters can definitely be the best parts of movies. To me one of the best answers to this is Sam from Lord of the Rings. He's the epitome of best friend side character and I definitely think he's more enjoyable to see than Frodo, although I don't think Sam being the main character would work out well. He fits perfectly in his role as the best friend side character
