Dog Day Afternoon

I watched it again last night and it is easily one of the best. Perfect performances by everyone in the cast and it depicts the era just as it was.

Pacino knocks every role out of the part but one who is always at his best is John Cazale, good ol' Fredo himself. Most people don't know that he was only in five movies and every one of them was nominated for best picture with three of them winning. The Godfather, The Godfather II, The Conversation, Dog Day Afternoon, and the Deer Hunter. His is an amazing story.

There is an HBO documentary, now on YouTube, called, I Knew it was You. I watched it when it aired and always again after watching one of his movies. I can't recommend it enough.
