I’m watching Spider-Man (2002) with my son. I always forget how great Tobey Maguire and Kirsten Dunst’s chemistry is. Peter even becomes Spider-Man (in this iteration) because he comes across the wrestling ad when he’s looking for a car he can buy to impress MJ. You obviously know what happens next.
But for an action-centric, superhero movie, I forgot how much his love for MJ pushes the plot. Kind of wild.
