Always thought Nicolas Cage would work well with Sam Raimi or in an Evil Dead movie

I just saw that there’s a a new Evil Dead movie without Ash Williams (Bruce Campbell). I always thought that the tongue-poking-through-cheek comedy horror should cast Nicolas Cage some day.

Over the years, Nicolas Cage’s bizarre off-screen persona has been the constant subject of furious speculation due to some loosely shrouded financial antics involving comic books and dinosaur skulls. Much of this off-screen speculation results from the persona he often presents on screen in some of his more animated roles. For every subtle and nuanced part Cage has undertaken, there's one where he's entirely off the wall.

In the latter category of these performances, he shouts a lot. Sometimes he calls when he is angry, other times he shouts when he is happy, and others still, it is difficult to discern his motivation for yelling — but he does it all the same. Regardless, Nic Cage has delivered some strange (and hilarious) performances over his long career.

One day I would like to see Sam Raimi and Nicolas Cage work together whether is a new Evil Dead movie or something entirely different. I think it’s a match in the making.
