I'm not sure if I'm doing just justice to what I'm describing. An example would be the scene with the real estate agent in American Psycho. "Did you see the ad in the times?... there was no ad in the times"
The ice cold, unblinking stare the real estate agent gives Bateman. The unrelenting chill of being confronted by someone who knows the truth about person standing in front of them. The hint of corruption to sweep anything that would hinder a sale and profiting from selling the place under the rug. Without fail the scene gives me the creeps.
