Question about the ending of "The Paramedic"

Hello my fellow movie friends.

I just watched "The Paramedic" with my better half.

When I saw the last scene I don't know why, but I have the strong feeling of knowing another movie, that has nearly the exact same ending - the idea is the same. The problem is, I can't remember the film. I hope somebody can help out.
