I know that the movie ends with the reverend going crazy and keeping an unfrozen piece of the blob in a flask but I think that this was just created to leave the story open for a sequel.
So, if we do not take that last scene into consideration, what do you think that happened with the the main characters and the town? Did the government tried to cover everything up, again? Did Meg´s father, as a concerced citizen and taxpayer, tried to sue them? What did they do with the rest of the pieces of the blob that were frozen? Were Meg and Brian considered as heroes?
