And also Vera Farmiga's method acting actually made her performance even more campy and fun because she took her boozehound of a character pretty seriously so it was hilarious to watch Farmiga either have a fit of hysteria or be sexually harassed by her hubby (played by a super fey Peter Sarsgaard) or run to the booze.
Julia Stiles is a pretty downgrade.
