I went through many posts but often there are movies like Braveheart where nothing, from plot itself to characters to appearance of people and troops matches history.
I'm not trying to find something super duper realistic and authentic but at least with some feeling like this - and not with kilted bum Wallace or with pagan Danes in 13th century (Ironclad) or with half-faced helms (The Last Duel) or with everything in The Vikings or with big part of The Last Kingdom :-)
There are of course many flaws in movies like Barbarossa, Ettore Fieramosca, Condottieri, Kingdom of Heaven, The Fall of Rome, The Miracle of the Wolves, Black Death, The King, Norsemen too but I prefered those much more, trying to find something along the lines.
