Watched The Girl Next Door (2004) and it was surprisingly decent

watched it on Netflix with a friend who kept telling me it was one of his "favorite movies ever". Looked like one of those American Pie type sex comedies from the time but while it has some elements it tries to go for actual "heart" as well with the relationship between the boy and the girl. It mostly does well. Emile Hirsch is the lead and he has a strong Leonardo Dicaprio vibe and he has a good chemistry with Elisha Cuthbertt who is gorgeous of course and plays the role perfectly. We also got a young Paul Dano here but who steals the show is Timothy Olyphant who is able to flip from being hilarious to even genuinely menacing at times. Film also has that nostalgic 2000s vibe especially with the soundtrack. Not a bad watch I'd say
