I was told the original point of the Matrix was to use humans brains as computers and not just batteries. That makes so much more sense to me. Can you think of any other major changes from story to screen that would have added that much depth to the story?
I remember loving the matrix but what always bothered me was how dumb the idea of using humans at a power source was. Why go through all the effort of entertaining their minds? If all you want it power why not just use cattle or some other animal that does not think as much?
The idea that they would use our brains as a computer is much more elegant and interesting. Our brains are an amazing meat based super computer. Linking them as a network would be kinda amazing and completely explains the value of using humans in the matrix.
Does anyone else know of an example like this?
