Honestly the entire Peter Dinklage/Snow White fiasco from earlier this year
The whole thing erupted from a rather light conversation on WTF with Marc Maron where Dinklage was just making an observation that, for all of Hollywood's boast about trying to be more diverse, little people tend to still be cast as fantasy creatures or other types of demeaning roles and used the new Snow White movie as an example. He didn't really sound mad about it, he didn't go on a rant, he was simply pointing it out.

And, honestly, he's right...little people do still tend to be cast as either the butt of the joke or as fantasy creatures. Maybe less so with the advent of CGI but it's rare to see someone with dwarfism just be cast as, oh, Greg from down the street. And 9 times out of 10 if a little person is just cast as a regular guy or gal they're played by, well, Peter Dinklage (See I Care A Lot for example).
And even when they aren't it can be distracting because I'm so used to seeing movies make a big deal about it; for instance, in Rocket Man, there's a scene where Elton passes by a group of friends and one of them has dwarfism. And I'll admit, when I saw it, it was a little distracting to see no one mention their height. A nice change of pace? Sure. Still kinda odd? Yes.
However, that all being said, people took his words out of context and thought he was angry at Snow White. Someone I know who has dwarfism even assumed he was angry because they were angry about it. And it led to this ridiculous "Peter Dinklage vs. Snow White" thing that even Disney had to respond to and basically lie that they weren't casting little people at all! (Something that ended up being untrue when Martin Klebba was recently cast)
And all this from just him observing something.
