I just watched this on HBO Max and really enjoyed it. Starring Keanu Reeves, but the main protagonist is played by Hiroyuki Sanada, who is in a lot of things, you'll probably recognize him when you see him.
I didn't realize this would be a fantasy movie (the cover picture/movie poster on HBO Max made me think it would be very different) set in feudal Japan circa 1600 or so.
It's very much like a fairy tale, with an evil lord, a witch, some monsters. With a lot of samurai.
A very pretty movie, and supposedly based on actual events, though I doubt that's true for the magic and such.
Given Keanu's background, he's uniquely suited for the role he plays in the film.
Very much recommend as a fun historical action movie with strong fantasy elements.
