i love all the rocky movies (outside of five) but the ending of one and two are such excellent endings.
the use of the music “the final bell” and the crowd celebrating and cheering on rocky is just incredible. the way he wins them all over by the end of the first movie despite losing and then only caring that he has Adrian’s love is so amazing. all he had to do was do it, and he did.
and then in the second movie watching him come up before apollo and then the crowd loses it. pauly loses it, mick loses it, and then i’m gone. straight up waterworks. and then stallone gives the best performance of his life with that “yo adrian, i did it!”.
outstanding movies with an incredible message and beautiful endings. i owe my dad a big one for showing me these movies so young. i totally get it now.
