For me, it’s the paper bag scene in American Beauty. The score is one of my favourite pieces of music from a film and the emotion in Wes Bentley’s eyes and voice as he talks about the bag and how it made him feel really sticks with me. Another one that I’ll never forget is Wade’s monologue in the church in Saving Private Ryan, again the emotion in his eyes and voice is haunting and the context of what he’s talking about is so sad and so resonating.
