What are some of your favorite nonverbal acting scenes?

Facial expressions, facial movements, body language, gestures, grunts and laughs. I guess anything that isn’t an actual quote with words.

My examples:

Lots of these in Dumb & Dumber (1994). But one of my favorites is when Harry and Lloyd are trying to get Mental to eat the burger with the atomic peppers and are trying so hard to contain their laughter.

Almost Heroes (1997) when Matthew Perry is sick and finally takes a dose of the medicine from the eggshell of an eagle and has an initial reaction to the medicine. Especially the little “hoot” at the end gets me every time.

In Billy Madison (1995) Principal Anderson’s facial expressions: during Eric’s interrogation, giving Billy the Valentine’s note (nodding his head when Billy reads the “PS I’m horny”), and humping Billy at the end of the movie. Just stupidly hilarious.

Granted these are all comedy examples. There are a million others I could come up with. I think about them a lot but just now thought about posting it so not too much time to think.

What about you?
