Leather face is my favorite slasher. And ive seen everyfilm. Personally the 2003 version is the best version of him EVER. That is how you do a reboot. Bit since then every film has been too goofy.
But i still see potential in the character.
One thing ive always liked was that the sheriff was the real villian. Not leather face. I wish filmakers realized this and create a story around them using leather face to wipe out harlow. Lets see a story from maybe 1970. That starts a new franchise. Not a prequel. But the sheriff is running for office in his little small town. And he uses leather face to kill his enemies. And the film ends with the sawyer famly causing the rest of the small hammock to flee, leaving only a few weirdos behind. This would set the stage for rumors to stay away from harlow.
Ive always wanted to see this story told. And with a SERIOUS tone. Could actually be a great commentary om small town politics as stuff like this actually happens.
