Movies and their evil twin

Some one recently mentioned to me some pairs of movies that covered the same general theme but came to opposite conclusions or treated the same subject in radically different ways. I don't know if there is a name for this concept but a couple examples are:

- The Vanishing / Picnic at Hanging Rock
