I decided to give Ghost a rewatch and I forgot what a compelling blend of horror, drama and romance it was. Some of the plot feels a bit hamfisted in the way it is delivered but Patrick Swayze, Whoopi Goldberg and Demi Moore are all so compelling to watch.
Jerry Zucker's direction in the melodrama worked much better with the heightened reality of the ghost aspect.
I won't lie watching the end, especially after the tragic passing of Patrick Swayze brought tears to my eyes.
Top marks for all, a classic.
