I know Wes Anderson gets a ton of praise here but this movie I feel is one of his best! The whole setting, the isolated island with no paved roads and a mail plane was amazing. The chemistry between Sam and Suzy was great and the music was amazing!
My wife is 9 months pregnant and bedridden so we have a ritual where she picks a movie first then I go and so on; I put on Moonrise Kingdom when she was put on bed rest last month and we have watched it now 3 times because she fell in love with the characters.
The only other Wes Anderson movie I can compare this to is The Royal Tenenbaums
