Edward Scissorhands

First thing I noticed while watching the movie was visually appealing it was. They made beautiful use of colors, and also the contrast of the character Edward and other characters, was visually stunning. Also the set pieces, those gothic castles looked amazing, and they also did a marvellous job with the design of the character. Also the movie can interpreted as how society treats you if you are different, if you look at the colors and all, Edward completely stands out, he's only one who can be seen wearing dark while everyone is wearing bright colors, basically he was the "other." And even at the start the way the ladies were oogling at other, it basically seemed as he was being treated as the exotic "other", and was being invited into the houses as if he was an exhibit. This is just what I interpreted that the movie was trying to convey.
