What is it about an actor portraying Winston Churchill in a movie that leads them to win prestigious acting awards?

Both Albert Finney and Brendan Gleason won a Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Lead Actor in a Miniseries or a Movie for their portrayals as Winston Churchill. Finney won in 2002 for the film The Gathering Storm (TV Movie 2002) and Gleason won in 2009 for the film Into the Storm (TV Movie 2009).

In 2018, Gary Olman won the Academy Award for Best Performance by an Actor in a Leading Role for his portrayal as Winston Churchill in the film Darkest Hour (Movie 2017).

Even in TV series he wins. In 2017, John Lithgow won the Primetime Emmy Award for Outstanding Supporting Actor in a Drama Series for his portrayal as Winston Churchill for the TV series The Crown.

Every time an actor has portrayed Churchill and has been nominated for an Emmy or the Oscar for it, they ended up winning. Why could that be? I just find it so fascinating.
