Ed Harris really had a stretch in the 90’s where he just paced around a command center talking to people on the phone

Apollo 13 (1995) — he is running the ground operations at NASA, doing this the entire movie (https://youtu.be/Z0h2Wk6-C_I)

The Rock (1996) — he sets up his base on Alcatraz and then basically just negotiates with the military over the phone the rest of the movie (https://youtu.be/yR4I_eC9Dk4)

Truman Show (1998) — he was the creator of the show and ran the operations from here (https://youtu.be/wcMCS_6oung)

I love all these movies and he’s great in them, but hilarious how he does that in all of them.

EDIT: fixed The Rock link
