Do you guys ever think there will ever be a comedy film that becomes super popular again any time soon?
I mean obviously comedy films are still being made of course but I don’t think I’ve heard of any that were super popular since the Jump Street movies and the Ted films which are both kind of classic franchises now.
It kind of feels like the closest thing to that we get is comedy in action films and the occasional indie film that’s more weird than anything and isn’t really universally appealing.
It’s crazy because the 2000s and early 2010s were like the golden era of them. They made Hollywood feel so much more relatable than it does now.
