Why do we notice an actor and suddenly start seeing them everywhere in good projects?

Do they hire a great agent? Or does industry realize their potential?

Example: Adam Driver, Timothee Chalamet, Giancarlo Esposito etc. I can list few more. I can understand cases such as that of Bryan Cranston and Paul Bettany who got their breakthroughs late and eventually got casted in good roles. However, I didn't see them get hired as aggressively as others. Why is it different for some actors that they get hired so aggressively in good projects?
