Running out of movies to watch after 8 months of quarantine, and decided to watch some old ones. I saw "Network" listed under comedies and decided to watch it because I remembered bits and pieces of it. This movie was released in 1976 and the message was about televisions influence on people and everything was done for the benefit corporations. Individuals no longer mattered.
It was scary to watch it and realize that you could substitute the internet for television and the magnitude of influence has increased a thousand fold.
