1978's "Invasion of the Body Snatchers" is the perfect Halloween movie to encapsulate 2020. It's got conspiracy paranoia, mistrust of government and the police, social distancing, anti-establishment, outright anarchy, and overwhelming fear of a viral infection, which like Coronavirus, duplicates living cells.
Want more? How about a young Jeff Goldblum at his Goldblume-ness. Leonard Nimoy in a very Spock-like role, human-face dog, and Robert Duvall dressed as a priest on a kid's swing. This movie is 70's paranoia movies on steroids. It's a favorite Halloween choice of mine, and it's a classic 70's horror film. Happy dreams!
