Apparently people complained about Emma Thompson playing Hugh Grant's love interest in Pride and Prejudice because "she's too old for him"...when she's only a year older than him.
WTF?
She's also a year older than Kenneth Branagh and played his love interest in some of his Shakespearean movies when they were MARRIED. No one complained about that to my knowledge.
Hugh Grant also played the love interest of Andie MacDowell in Four Weddings and a Funeral, when she's 2 YEARS older than him. Again I have heard no one complain that she was too old for him.
So why did people think Emma Thompson was too old for Hugh Grant?
