What books are you waiting to be adapted into a movie?

TL;DR- What books or book series do you love that you can't wait to see turned into a film?

I was just thinking of books that really kept my attention out of reality during lockdown and the pandemic quarantine. And I was thinking about all the awful books that *have* been adapted into films... COUGH COUGH READY PLAYER ONE IS A CRIME....

But of recent books, there's a bunch that not only would make for excellent films, but the rights have already been purchased and it all seems in development hell.

A few I am waiting for:

Daniel Suarez's Daemon and Freedom

The Forever War

Neuromancer

Snowcrash

The Cabin at the End of the World

nb: I am glad Hulu is running a Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy series, soon, and think Dark Tower should absolutely reboot as a limited mini-series.

edit: forgot Cormac McCarthy's Blood Meridian, especially now that it's been pried from Franco's hands.
