I'm not a film expert, but I think that the idea of rewriting The Odyssey into depression era America could be revolutionary to film.
I just get so sick of remakes and reboots and (awful) sequels of movies that were made 20 years ago.
Bringing new life to classics, but instead of it being a page for page remake, it puts it in a new setting that allows you to relate to characters from a new perspective.
