i just watched about time, and as i was bawling my eyes out i realized that movies where time or time travel serve as a vehicle to a sentimental, emotional ending heavily affect me. other examples of movies i’d place in this category are interstellar or la la land (which is different in that it doesnt have time travel, but to me the ending montage functions as a sort of time travel/parallel universe type thing). basically, movies where time travel helps guide us through a characters memories, or what could have happened if things had gone differently.
anyone have any recommendations for movies that play with this idea in a similar way?
