What's the best double feature of two completely separate films that take place during the same time period?

For Example off the top of my head, the first half an hour or so of The Aviator takes place around 1930 (release of Hell's Angels) on the US West coast, while the events of The Untouchables are happening in Chicago.

There are probably better ones but I just watched those in the last week so they're fresh in my mind. Bonus points if they're based on real events
