Despite the plethora of negative reviews of this movie, I thoroughly enjoyed. Of course it wasn’t perfect. The over the top characters and scenes can be annoying. You might watch it and heavily dislike Paul Rudd’s character, but I think that’s the point. This movie isn’t meant to be a movie where you sit down and critique the realism of it. Regardless of what the trailers made the movie out to be, I think it was a great movie. Sure, the romantic plot line might not of had as much depth as it could of, but that’s not the point. You should go to watch this movie if you want to laugh out loud and enjoy Steve Carrel’s insane acting. It’s like step brothers, but I’m not sure if it has the rewatch value that Step Brothers had. Overall, I think Dinner for Schmucks is a great movie to sit down and watch if you just want to laugh and forget about any stress you might have
