To all the Blade Runner fans out there.....

I took some time recently to watch Blade Runner (final cut) for the first time and surprisingly, it seemed underwhelming. The plot was hard to follow, characters kind of dull, and action extremely minimal.

But after letting it digest for a few days, I just want to watch it again, and I have.

What I realized is the beauty of the movie lies in its atmosphere; it just sucks you in and makes you feel like you are part of their 2019 Los Angeles. People feel real: sad and alone, and most importantly, relatable. There is a sense of isolation, with a constant questioning of the value of life and whether we are in-fact losing our humanity. I won't spoil too much for anyone who hasn't seen it but it is just amazing how a world could feel so immersive and addicting while being so messed up and dirty.

Plus the soundtrack is god dam unbelievable.
