The Matrix turns 21 years old today (March 31st, 1999). What do you remember about when you first saw it in theaters?

I still remember opening weekend having no expectations going in since I hadn't heard much about it yet and even more so being impressed with effects I don't remember ever seeing before. After opening weekend I remember word of mouth of the film was everywhere and it became a very leggy movie (making more than 6 times its quite decent Opening weekend Domestically and being the best selling DVD and DVD rental of any film released in 1999)
