Everyone should watch VIVARIUM (2020). Not because it's great (it is), but because I refuse to be the only one traumatized by it.

Jesse Eisenberg and Imogene Poots starred in the sensational dark comedy "The Art of Self Defense" recently. So when I heard they had a new movie together, I was thrilled.

First of all, VIVARIUM IS NOT A COMEDY. And if anyone said it is, maybe slap them in the face and run, because they're not human. I adored the movie. But the gripping scenario our well crafted protagonists find themselves into will give me nightmares. The Suburbs.

Vivarium offers the most terrifying, mind breaking, version of hell I could imagine. A version of the Suburbs that traps those visiting it. It looks like what some parasitic demon or reality warping alien would thing that a suburban family home neighborhood would be like. Round perfect clouds, sunny day, identical houses. Nothing but the bare essentials. No wind. No entertainment. No escape but death. The couple is forced to raise a Inhuman child that grows at exponential speed until their eventual demise out of sheer mental exaustion.
