Any song not written specifically for the movie. I'm curious to see whether there are trends towards certain genres of music or certain uses, like excitement or sadness. Includes opening and closing credit sequences. Covers written for the movie (e.g. "I Will Always Love You" for The Bodyguard) don't count.
Personally I love how The Matrix ends with "Wake Up" by RATM. Also "Bohemian Rhapsody" in Wayne's World.
