The Godfather is basically the origin story of a supervillain. Seems to appeal to a new audience when presented as such.

The story of Michael Corleone is one of the most tragic stories ever portrayed and one that births a man of pure evil. It is interesting presenting this movie to a new crowd as an origin story of a supervillain and watching a new batch of younger viewers give it a chance when they otherwise wouldn't have watched a gangster movie. He is a far more dangerous villain than any shown on shows like Daredevil or portrayed in most Batman tellings. He is a far more tragic character than Joaquin Phoenix's Joker and also a more relatable one.

Just really enjoy this movie so made the post.
