[Need Advice] Is it a waste of money to buy digital movies?

I really like Amazon Prime video and I've been considering building up a collection of my favorite films.

The only problems I have are:

• No obvious way to organize your digital library (maybe I'm missing something)

• Is it future-proof or will I likely have to rebuy these movies in the future, on another platform?
