How is it possible that after 20 years the Lord of the Rings Trilogy still shits in the mouth of every other fantasy movie/show that's ever been made?
It seems almost impossible that after two decades that there hasn't been at least SOMETHING that approaches the quality, care, passion, faithfulness, and perfection that he Lord of the Rings trilogy was able to produce.
You'd think with two decades in technological advancement that the Trilogy would show it's age or be outclassed by some newer fantasy movie/show. But nothing has come close.
It's like the trilogy is a 20 out of 10 and the best that's come after is maybe a 7 out of 10 max.
Is the Trilogy really going to be peak fantasy in perpetuity?
