The Shining (the made for TV version with Steven Weber) is actually amazing.

I love this movie.

It follows the book almost perfectly. Steve Weber does such a good job - his gradual descent into madness is done amazingly well in my opinion.

And the scene at the end when he is trying so hard to fight off being possessed by the ghosts when he's in the hallway with Danny is SO good and so sad too.

This movie either doesn't ever get noticed or people shit on it which is really unfortunate. I know it's a tad campy but it's a horror book made into a basic cable movie and it was pretty scary in some parts.
