I wasn't even aware that there's all these Scorpion King direct to video sequels. I liked the first Scorpion King from 2002 with Dwayne The Rock Johnson. It's my guilty pleasure. But then there's these 4 direct to video sequels. The Scorpion King 2 came out in 2008. But The Rock didn't reprise his role. In fact The Rock has never returned for any of the sequels. In each one of the sequels different actors play the role of Mathayus The Scopion King. The Scorpion King 5 came of as recent as 2018.
The weird thing is that The first Scorpion king was supposed to be a prequel to ''The Mummy Returns'', which means that all these Scorpion King direct to video sequels technically take place in the Universe of the Brendan Fraser Mummy movies. Which means that the Mummy franchise is still ongoing with these sequels.
These Scorpion King direct video sequels seem to be low budget, but they had like a Kevin Sorbo Hercules the Legendary Journey's feel to them. I haven't watched these sequels, but one day I might check them out. The problem is that The Rock is not in any of them, so I might miss his charisma.
